cool thing about tefilla, sorry I'm saying it here but it's just very cool: each individual has immense power with affecting the world through her tefilla. little me's tefilla can cause Hashem to be mevarech the world. if I don't say Mashiv HaRuach ad I miss it, there's a real affect in the precipitation on the world. And if I say Mashiv Haruach during the summertime when there isn't supposd to be rain, the rain may fall and water the ground when it doesn't need it. And if I say Mashiv haruach now, I cause Hhsem to bless the world and shower us with the beracha of rain and growth. Me, not some great gadol,or rabbi or rebbetzin or girl who davens so bikavana next to me, but I individually have that power and responsibility and so too for evvvery Jew.

  4. a very beautiful thing i heard recently that expands on what Tamar said:
In Adon Olam, we talk about the greatness of HKB"H. About how amazingly powerful He is:
    He created the world...
    He ruled before anything...
He was, is, and will always be...
    He's unique..
and continues with a whole bunch of praises of His greatness.
And then we say, V'Hu Keli, and He is MY Hashem...V'Tzur Cheveli, v'Hu Nisi
mine....how special we are that this great King who is so awesome and powerful takes care of little me, specifically and individually, and because of that, because I know He is taking care of me, because Hashem Li, Lo Eera.

  7. When i think of Tefillah i think of all different things depending on my mood. Sometimes ill feel really close to Hashem and Ill want to really talk to him and i will end davening feeling like i really had a conversation with Hashem , but in general davening is something i am constantly working on and even when i so badly want to have Kavanah , it doesn't always work and i have to keep on pushing myself to not give up and FOCUS on what I'm saying! Yesterday my friend told me a really cool and scary thing abt TEFFILA! she said that many poskim say that if we don't have the Proper Kavanah whem we say Hashem and Elokim ,our bracha is considered a Bracha Livatalah! Every time we say Hashem , we are sopposed to have in mind that hadhem is, was and will always be and that whem we say Elokim we should have in mind that He is capable of doing anything!!!!!!!!!!! This has given me the boost to have more Kavanah in my davening and maybe it will help you in yours!!!!!!!!! Just remember don't give up even when it seems hopeless ! Hashem is waiting and craving your Tefillos !!!!!!!!! Hatzlacha Raba and KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!
